60% of adults in the greater Dallas area between the ages of 19 and 44 read below the high school level and 49%r ead at or below a fourth grade level. Meanwhile, more than 60% of non-managerial jobs in the city require a high school diploma. It's not hard to see the impact these facts could have on the quality of life and the economy of our city. 

GED Preparation classes are offered two ways.  Adult learners can take traditional classes at LIFT's Main Street offices, located in downtown Dallas or adult learners can access the new GED Direct Program, an online distance learning program for GED preparation.  For more information on both of these programs, call LIFT at 214.824.2000.
