LIFT will serve at least 6,000 adult learners this year - four times as many as three years ago. They come from a wide variety of backgrounds and several different countries. The average student is 38 years old and reads at or below a second grade level before entering the LIFT program. Approximately 74% percent of our students are Hispanic, 19% are African-American, 3.5% are Anglo and 3.5% are other.
